An overview of news and Bitcoin happenings over the last few weeks.

Bitcoin has been fluctuating up and down these past few weeks. The media commentators and bitcoin watchers have been judging it at every turn. The price action is exciting to watch and seems to be the primary point of discussion across the financial world, but despite all the volatility Bitcoin is steadfast at its core. Bitcoin is the strongest money ever discovered, and yet its most important trait may be its freedom protocol which I seek to underscore.
While we celebrate the surge of #Bitcoin, it is important to highlight the value of Bitcoin goes far beyond monetary benefit. As much as Bitcoin is a digital monetary protocol, it is also an energy system and freedom protocol. There are some recent Bitcoin happenings around CBDCs that are important to consider which I highlight in my article "CBCDs & the Death of Freedom".
Happening all around us — in real-time, institutions and governments are analyzing our global monetary system and assessing their stance on Bitcoin. Some institutions are exploring how Bitcoin might fit within their centralized paradigm, while others are enacting plans for capturing or dismantling Bitcoin. Bitcoin's potential is great, not only as a money, but most importantly as a vehicle to continue freedom into our AI-optimized and algorithm-centric digital future.
Our monetary system underpins all of our other systems — social, political, cultural, and economic. The base foundation of a monetary system is not really money, but energy. The monetary system is an energy system. Bitcoin helps us understand this. Human life as it exists at its basic level is a consumer of energy and creator of energy.
Money is the symbolic representation of our energy in accounting form. Your work is your energy transferred and your value is your energy stored. When a society restricts or does not allow the freedom or transfer of energy, then they restrict or do not allow the freedom of being a human at our base level.
Our world is evolving from a tangible, tactile world as it synthesizes towards a digital, virtual landscape where all of our transfers and stores of energy may be digital transactions. If all of our transactions are surveilled, tracked and controlled, then also the exchange of our energy is surveilled, tracked and controlled — and consequently so is our freedom.
"I wish I knew how It would feel to be free I wish I could break All the chains holding me I wish I could say All the things that I should say Say 'em loud say 'em clear For the whole round world to hear" — Nina Simone
